GDC is the first major game development conference of the year where developers showcase their new games and experiences. This year, we had almost 300 GDC sessions with more than 2,500 registered speakers from 343 studios to Ubisoft. This year at GDC, Ubisoft announced three new games. Two of the games are focused on blockchain-powered gameplay, SunnySide and Smalland. The third game is a VR experience called Time On Frog Island that incorporates both traditional gaming mechanics and blockchain technology in real time via digital assets. This talk will explore what these three games have to offer gamers looking for more immersive experiences with an edge over their competitors.,

Merge Titles has just published new videos for a number of its future games, including the narrative-driven agricultural sim SunnySide, multiplayer survival game Smalland, and puzzle adventure title Time on Frog Island. SunnySide is a farming and life simulator that combines combat and exploration with a strong focus on a story-driven experience. Players are entrusted with purchasing a parcel of land in the center of the Japanese countryside and creating a stately residence. To build your property and design your house, grow crops, care for animals, and employ cutting-edge technology. SunnySide will be released on PC, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in 2022.

GDC Trailer by Smalland
Smalland puts players into an open-world multiplayer survival game with a twist: you’ve been reduced down to the size of a small insect, in typical “Honey I Shrunk The Kids” manner. Players will have to hunt for crafting materials, create new things and equipment, and explore a fascinating new environment.

Players are stranded on a mysterious island in Time on Frog Island, a fresh new sandbox adventure game with a strong focus on riddles. In the summer of 2022, Time on Frog Island will be released for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

The planned RTS game Starship Troopers – Terran Command has been delayed, according to Slitherine Games and The Aristocrats. The game was supposed to be out later this month, on March 31st, 2022, but with today’s news, it will come out later in the year.

When Early Access releases later next month, on April 27th, Sean Weech and Deck13’s forthcoming permadeath action RPG Holomento will be accessible to play on Steam and Good Old Games.
