As the name suggests, Moonlight Sculptor is a free indie game that’s been in the works for over two years now. It was created by a handful of developers who were inspired by the relaxing gameplay of a game like The Oregon Trail or Myst. The result is a puzzle-based adventure that basically puts you in the shoes of a sculptor, tasked with creating a statue of a girl whose life you may not be aware of.
A new mobile game has hit a major milestone: it’s now available on a million devices. And it’s not just any mobile game, it’s Moonlight Sculptor, a hugely popular farming sim developed by indie studio Playdemic. Launched in 2015, the game is already one of the most downloaded titles in Google Play, and has attracted over 118 thousand players on the iOS App Store—and now another version is available on Android.

The mobile MMO Moonlight Sculptor seems to have found its audience, as developer XL Games and publisher Kakao Games boast of having registered one million downloads to date. At launch, the new MMO was #1 on Google Play in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, #2 in the Philippines and #5 in the US; on the App Store, it debuted at #1 in Singapore and reached #2 in Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines. To celebrate the successful launch of Moonlight Sculptor on , the game is offering free gifts including a set of upgrade items and 200,000 gold, 10 days of daily in-game items such as chests, upgrade scrolls, elixirs and eggs, as well as the opportunity to purchase a set of upgrade items by the 14th. June twice a day for 2-3 hours to earn 20% more gold and items. Also, as promised, the game has received its first update after release. Among other things, the update adds the 150-story Tower of Mirhan, a safe place for guild members to hang out, the Twisted Sewer Maze dungeon, and the Green Day St. Patrick’s Day event (which came rather late, but we won’t blame the game for that).
