Ashes of Creation showed off some new areas, new outfits, and passive skills in their livestream yesterday, and I have to say that I’m intrigued. For starters, I’m a big fan of the “passive skill” system, which allows players to train certain abilities at a reduced rate. In the case of the “Soul of the Arena” you don’t have to do anything to train the skill, it just comes with the first level of the skill, and everyone can use it after that. That’s pretty awesome.
Asura is one of the most popular video game series of all time. The game allows players to take control of different characters, and play through different quests in a fantasy setting. In the first two games, players could only play as male characters, but the release of Asura’s Wrath made it possible to play as a woman in the game. Sulfur, the latest patch for the game, introduced new areas, new outfits, and passive skills to the game.
The Ashes of Creation team has been talking about the game’s new areas, new outfits, and passive skills for the last few weeks. Now, they’re showing us them in Twitch livestreams. During the evening of Saturday, August 17, the team will be showing off a new area of Eberron, some new outfits, and some new passive skills.
Just like clockwork, the team at Intrepid Studios has organized another thread about the development of Ashes of Creation , full of previews, updates and other information for fans of the developing PvP MMORPG. The streamers show about eight minutes of gameplay in the wizard’s dilapidated hut, some new outfits, another look at the game’s hybrid battles, a big scary ghost, and a brief look at the new passive skill system.
One of the other highlights of the stream was a video of a tropical oasis, which creative director Steven Sharif said would be an ideal location for AOC ‘s evolving fishing system, which was quickly described as requiring players to think about the environment in which a particular fish can be found, and the mini-game aspect of catching that fish. There was also another batch of concept art and finished work, including outfits, furniture and barricades.
Finally, the stream ended with a question and answer session where the developers talked about the augmentation system and how it allows players to upgrade their primary archetype skills based on secondary archetypes or organizations in the game, they explained, How the bounty hunter system works with multiple hunters, briefly talked about how monster resistance works, and discussed how the developers won’t necessarily be trying to rebalance sieges, but will mainly focus on how siege buffs and multi-turn siege PvP, such as.Arena and GvG will focus more on character balance.
